  1. Good vid! Nice tips. Ill have to try some of that bar tape. I always keep nitrile gloves in my saddle bag. So great to not get crud on the hands when changing a flat.

  2. Hey Andy, after noting an absence all the way from Australia I'm so pleased to have stumbled across this channel! Needless to say, I've subscribed. I'm absolutely loving trawling back through all the reviews now and catching up. Seriously, keep up the awesome work. Your old CC reviews are what drew me in to buying my first roadie (a Litespeed back in 2012) but these new reviews are just superb! Thank you.

  3. … to add to your latex glove comments I used some recently here in Australia as a short term fix on a freezing cold day in the alpine area. I only needed them for an hour or so under a winter glove to give me a bit of respite from the horrible conditions but the layering impact worked a treat.

  4. At home depot there is a glue called E6000 (its very similar to shoe goo), when cured it still has slight elasticity to conform to tire stretching and deforming while riding or changing pressure. Take tire off, clean and lightly sand inside of tire where puncture is, apply thin layer of glue followed by small square of fabric from shop rag, and then smear on a few more layers of glue. The patch will outlast the tire. I'm 185lb and always trying to get away with thin light tires on mountain bike – this solution has saved me quite a bit of $ of tires with good treadlife but punctures that wont seal with sealant.

I like your videos, keep it up.

  5. fav cheap cycling hack, especially if you are dipping your toes in the hobby, is aliexpress bike bib shorts, you can get a decent to nice pair of bibs for 20 bucks easy. I bought some entry level pearl izumi bibs recently and they were actually awful compared to the aliexpress ones. Once you get to the higher price point the aliexpress bibs fall off a bit but they are fantastic value for money and especially if you are new to trying bibs and just want to see what its like. Also come in a lot of nice colors and designs.

  6. Just found your channel, great stuff. I always have latex gloves in my handle bar bag for use in cold or wet conditions under a normal full fingered glove . A hack I use is sea salt and some maple syrup in the water of my bottle. Great electrolyte drink, much cheaper then the commercially available products.
