  1. In his definition of an observer as acquiring "information about an external system" where does he want to put the boundary between the observing system and the external system?

  2. "In order to" isn't science.
    Systems don't acquire information in order to do anything, he is trying to write teleology into his definition.
    Then he proudly says "Hurricanes aren't observers".
    No wonder this has hardly any views.
