1. In his definition of an observer as acquiring "information about an external system" where does he want to put the boundary between the observing system and the external system?

2. "In order to" isn't science.
   Systems don't acquire information in order to do anything, he is trying to write teleology into his definition.
   Then he proudly says "Hurricanes aren't observers".
   No wonder this has hardly any views.

3. this could be an app for economics, and business, and market fluctuations. what part of the market is expressing observation and what parts of the market are blind
