OSHO: Moving Towards Healthier States of Consciousness

OSHO International

Excerpt from an Interview with the Italian edition of “SCIENCE 85 MONTHLY”

“It was Sigmund Freud in the West who for the first time used the words “unconscious mind”. He had no idea that in the East we have five thousand-year-old scriptures using the idea of the unconscious mind. So he thought he had discovered something. Then Jung found that if you go deeper than the unconscious, you find a collective unconscious mind. That too in the East we have been aware of for centuries.
One thing more we have been aware of which the West has still to find out: if you go below the collective unconscious mind, you will find the cosmic unconscious mind.”

  1. I wonder is Osho ever read War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy. I’m almost positive he did, Just curious about his thoughts about it.

  2. Human existence is based on polarities..and there is no knowledge of consciousness until you know your unconscious..you can't know what day is unless you know what night is.

You cannot skip certain steps, you cannot know that you read if you have not mastered the letters, you cannot know consciousness if you have not met before and discovered your unconscious, and vice versa.

It would be nice to hear Osho and Jung dialogue on this topic 😊

  3. I always questioned the notion of 'Normal' or 'being sane' in psychology, always questioning if it was truly upto the 'sane' people to decide what the normalcy is… I am encountered by a pearl of wisdom I never thought to encounter.. my perceptions have changed to a whole new level. I really admire this man..not a follower but will admire the way he brings out the normalcy which is much needed to be understood.

  5. My Buddha my friend forever.
I am so so very grateful that I have chance to listen to him. He is beyond humanity.
The whole world have this man : that’s too enough . All religions, all politicians are garbage

  6. Hey everyone, I was wondering if you could help me find an Osho video. It's one where a woman with a soft spoken voice asks him a question that goes something like ".. could you once more say something about the unspeakable/unnameable ?". If anyone can help I would gladly appreciate it

  7. I've reached the highest levels of conciousness, at times in my life..the longest time being a couple of months or so, when I reached 'enlightenment'(at age 19), through reading a few of Oshos books, doing some meditation techniques, but not much. Osho was my Master, (tho i only knew of him after he passed away). But for me, it was a 'change in my circumstances' at that time, thst triggered enlightenment. Altered states of conciousness, come easily to me.
But I keep coming back down.
But something remains,.. it's a knowing.
Which level is called enlightenment?… The superconciousness or cosmic conciousness…
I'm 46 now…and this is the first Osho video I've watched in a long time. And it reminds me of when I was enlightened.

  8. I'am reading the original book where Osho talks about the 7 layers of mind. It's a lot to grasp, impossible if you have never meditated. But the deeper you go in meditation the first three seem to exist.

The book is the art of living , a very good read touched on some very deep stuff.

  9. I dont agree with him. Both knowledge systems are valuable because both exist in humans. You cannot have one
without the other. As above so below.
