  1. I loved it!  You make it look sooo easy!  The depth brings it to life!  Is that a glaze that you use to created the 3 dimensional strokes?  Thank you for sharing this!

  2. the 3D effect is cool, but it would pop even more if the shadows were correct.
i find having the light source from different directions could be confusing the viewer….these colour combinations are very nice! 🙂

  3. AWESOME WORK!! i learn something NEW every time!! so much Depth in your work! Amazing how you do it so fast! you're a Great Inspiration, keep up the Excellent work!!

  4. Thanks for the great tips in your lessons. I used to just paint landscapes, but I was really finding them tedious and I was not enjoying painting them. I have painted a couple of abstracts and found that they allow me to be more creative. I now find that I cannot wait to get into my studio to paint. Thanks for the inspiration!!!

  5. How do you get your black to shade like that with a sponge? I tried with a clean wet sponge and it either sucks up some paint or just smears the black all over the place. Awesome work though!

  6. love use of found objects! I use a lot of random stuff to create richness and add cool effects. Old lace is amazing. I sometimes just leave pieces of it on the canvas.
