  16. I just watched the whole interview. It's interesting that when the interviewee is clearly a very special person, there is no problem in watching 80 minutes of interview. I always hear people say that "people don't pay attention more than, let's say, 5 minutes", and it seems to me absurd, as those statements don't take into account the quality of the content.
    I loved the fact that Peter uses the knowledge about psychology in the development of AGI. For example, Sigmund Freud discoveries would be very useful for developing AGI. Without access to the hardware of the mind, Freud discovered many things about the software architecture of the mind, with the id, ego and superego, the role of conscience and so on.
    Besides that, I think that Peter would like to read the book "Beyond boundaries; the new neuroscience of connecting brains with machines — and how it will change our lives", by Miguel Nicolelis. I read this book, and in it Nicolelis explains what he discovered about how the brain works. For example, Nicolelis (the book is from 2014) got that only "wishing" it, a person could make a machine move in this or that direction. He partially "decodified" the language the brain uses, through the neurons. Well, it's complicated, but that could help to build AGI.

We will create AGI –perhaps the Algo is being used at a car wash sumwhere right now the quandri 4 me becomes as AI comes online will we humans no are we smart enuff to perceive that the machine is simply able to fool us into thinking it thinks or just smart enuff to pass our tests for verification? Does it matter if we cant tell and it keeps accelerating? Or will it be obvious its pardon it has awoken

  23. Great interview. The rate of change in computing is incredible right now and it would not surprise me if we saw it is decade…and then onto the singularity and all bets are off as they say. Hello Star Trek lol I recently read Life on the edge, about quantum biology and our brain really is an incredible piece of evolution it has to be said the way it links up

  25. Imagine if everyone could have a robot with superinteligence integrated on it as an assistant. It would be amazing, because it could help us solve any problem. Great interview by the way.
