You mention the original. The Donnie Darko Gary Jules version was definitely not the original. The original is much older by Tears for Fears 1983 and not performed in a dark manner at all.

I’ve seen this and other versions. Today I realized something whether it was intended or not. Puddles is an adult singing about childhood. She is the child! Intended or not, it fits perfectly and is more interesting when viewed in that way.

I am a PMJ fan. I sort of stumbeld on to Charismatic Voice 3 days ago. Now I have watched many previews and love every one of them. You make music fun to watch because you are fun to watch. You should check out Jasmine Thompson's version that she sang when she was only 17. It's the best cover of the song I've seen. And the video really provides a social commentary on the experience of youth in America.

You should do "Mad World" by Tears for Fears. They actually wrote the "original" and it's very different from the Gary Jules cover.

Their dance steps, their characters playing off each other is quite vaudevillian. The reinterpretation is key to the presentation. Overall very professional.
