Présentation de Stefano ADAMO (en Anglais, tirée de: https://banjaluka.academia.edu/StefanoAdamo ):

“I am an Assistant Professor at Banja Luka university’s program in Italian Language and Literature, where I have full responsibility for planning and teaching courses in Italian Culture, History, and Cinema, as well as Literary Text Analysis, and College Writing. I also hold a position at the University’s College of Arts and Music, where I teach Italian to the class of solo singers.

I do research in two areas: cognitive cultural theory and intellectual history. In particular, I am interested in how lay people form their judgment on economic affairs, including policy issues and their ethical implications. In order to do so, I use a society’s cultural production—especially popular fiction and nonfiction—as a basis for understanding public opinion, shared beliefs, and ideological constructions. Drawing on cognitive theory, I look for the intellectual background and real-world context with which a lay public may relate the complex ideas contained in the texts in order to assess their plausibility and decide whether to endorse them. I have used this approach to account for the treatment of economic themes in English Renaissance culture, and I am presently bringing this approach to bear on the Italian intellectual response to the post-2007 economic crisis.”
