  1. I finally got the Mi Robot i ordered back in late November from GB!! Really suprised by its power. Bought it for 250€ but now u can get it for as low as 235€

  2. Great review as always. I got this model on Black Friday for 320 euros and I had payed another 22 euros for DHL. And it deserves all the money. Waiting for Google Home compatibility and everything else is ok.

  3. I recommend upgrading the 3 armed brush to a 6 armed version .. so much better at sweeping .. they're fairly generic – fit Roomba's and these things
Oh number one reason to get one .. it forces you and the members of your household to keep crap off the floor –

  4. In the future i would like it to have an automatically disposing dust (at the pre chosen location) and a water tank at the charging pad. Now that's a step further into maintenance-free vacuum cleaner

  5. I have had the original for a while and I think its brilliant I hardly ever touch my full size cleaner. Interestingly all the reviews comparing 1 & 2 say the original picks up more. If you want a robot cleaner this as got to be the best on the market especially for the price. My only gripe the awful female American voice

  6. Update: It's been in use cleaning once a day and we are still impressed! The floors have never looked so clean, a daily robot vacuum is all it takes to keep on top of it and maintain even our white tiles celan. And we are still surprised with the amount it will suck up in a day, even if we have cats and kids never thought it would be that much. Highly recommended, if you can get this model the V1 will be just as good.

  7. the most important feature is the zone cleanup. the ability to command the bot using the map it creates is so useful. imagine the ability to define offlimit areas on the map itself, especially where you know where obstacles like small rugs, shoes, etc are that will just cause trouble to your bot. you can also mark off areas where you never want it go like wet areas or bathrooms. all bots with the lidar+mapping should active map features by now, otherwise showing the map in the app is just an expensive and useless feature that merely lets you know where your bot is in your house.

  8. Watched a video comparison between this model and the old one (previous xiaomi vacuum), on paper it's better, but side by side they pretty much do the same job with the same great quality and no evident difference. They both suck all (or partially) the debris-test, they both get stuck on thick carpets. Regarding the mop, you can just buy some adhesive velcro to put under the device and have it as well (Surprisingly there's an active community of 'modders' for this product. There are many little tweaks you can do. From easy ready-to-go hacks like the one I mentioned, to more advanced stuff like adapting Roomba's accessories to your Xiaomi). The dust container it's bigger, but unless you have a very filthy apartment, you won't really fill it up. I'm using the previous model, never filled it to its fullest. App, Smart/Efficient AI mapping etc etc are the same. These upgrades feel more like slightly better 'quality of life' things, that, imo, do not justify the couple extra hundreds of dollars. Strongly recommend the first model, while waiting for a more than marginal improvement in the third, eventual, version.

  9. Can you schedule it to go through a specific zone once a day and the whole apartment once a week for example? I'm interested for the zone schedule 🙂

  10. Thanks, good review. I got an S5 the other day, getting used to it. I like it a lot so far. I think the app is upgraded now, supposed to be able to line out areas, blocking lines, etc., I guess. Haven't figured it out yet, I hope that is the case. I see Amazon has several companies with similar-looking accessories. Do you have a recommended brand for those items? Take care.
