  1. This makes no sense to me. The cat is either alive or dead regardless of whether I observe it or not. It is not both alive and dead at the same time. Regardless of my observation there is an objective truth that the cat is one or the other. It is not both. My observation of it has no bearing on the matter.

  2. people think too much, like literally if the bomb goes off its dead. if not it’s alive. you’re opening the box essentially to see if it went off or not. plus i think i’d hear it go off or I’d hear the cat making a noise.

  3. Wait, Danny Fenton is Schrödinger's Boy. He's both alive and dead. A halfa. BUT THEN WHAT IS THE BOX? Because the portal would be the gun powder. Well, whatever the box is we better not open or close it

  4. I can see how this thought experiment could be used to help explain quantum theory and superpositions.
But I do not see how it functions as a refuting of superpositions in general, when the fundamental understanding is that the mechanics on the quantum level function differently to the solid object level. Therefore any such cat metaphor does not cross over to explain anything about the quantum. Is he really trying to comment something about the nature of the quantum using the normal object level? How redundant is that? Yet we're all half sure that some such point was made…? Huh?

  5. Most probably the cat is observing us and waiting for us to notice to give a reaction possibly. Cat's curiosity towards being observed is what makes it live or die.

  6. And why couldn't the Geiger counter be the observer? There's nowhere that really says that the act of "observation" (or rather interaction) needs to be done by a sapient being.

  7. hello my friends . i'm from turkey and i wanna ask for something. do you have any friends knowing both turkish and english at good level? can somebody type here who is good at both of them?

  8. that makes absolutely no sense… lets say the bomb blows up, and we don't look inside… the cats gonna be dead either way. FUCK YOU MEAN we only know until we look
