Secrets and Discoveries of Ancient Egyptian Pyramids

From the lost city of Atlantis, to their unbelievable use of levitation here is What you didn’t know about the egyptian pyramids

7. The Lost City of Atlantis in Egypt?

In 1882, former Minnesota Congressman and Atlantis super fan Ignatius Loyola Donnelly published a book entitled, “Atlantis: The Antediluvian World”. Donnelly believed that the Atlanteans were the first to venture into civilized society and had developed settlements all around the world. In his writings, he created a tie between Atlantis and the pyramids of Egypt, claiming that the Atlanteans had actually settled in Egypt and built the pyramids in replication of the ones that were built on their home island. In fact, Donnelly believed that Egypt was little more than a reproduction of the society in Atlantis. To support his theory, the Congressman linked together the pyramids of Egypt and those of Mesoamerica, noting the similarities between the structures. Many have contested this theory due to the structural and aesthetic differences between the great pyramids and those of Mesoamerica but believers of Donnelley’s books continue to spread their beliefs and search for the never before seen, supposedly sunken city of Atlantis.

6. The Orion Correlation Theory:

Astrology has played a role in countless historical events. Could it be possible that there is a correlation between constellations and the construction of the pyramids? Those who believe the Orion Correlation Theory think so, drawing parallels between the stars that form Orion’s belt and the location of the trio of pyramids. First published in 1989 in Discussions in Egyptology, volume 13, the theory states that the three pyramids are placed in an exact angle that mimics the placement of the trio of stars in Orion’s belt. Orion is often associated with the god of rebirth, Osiris, giving traction to the theory. The Nile River is also compared to the Milky Way and the Sphinx has been tied to the Leo constellation. Much criticism has been placed against the theory, with many arguing that the angles of the pyramids and stars do not match up at all. Either way, the theory definitely makes for a different take on the ever present mystery of how and why the pyramids were created in the first place.

5. Levitation of the Pyramids

Each of the pyramids are constructed of around 2,300,000 blocks of limestone. Each of these blocks weighs roughly 2.5 tons if they are all constructed the same way. It is incredible that the pyramids’ builders were able to work together to lift the blocks; it almost seems humanly impossible. Some people believe that it actually was. A theory based on the writings of Andrew Collins in his book, “Gods of Eden: Egypt’s Lost Legacy and the Genesis of Civilization”, which cites a folktale from a tenth century Arabic man that describes the Egyptians striking the blocks with a rod or staff then using mental levitation to lift them into place. Called “acoustic levitation”, the belief centers around the Egyptians being able to hit the blocks in just the right way to produce an auditory wave that allowed them to defy gravity for a bit over eighty five meters before dropping. The blocks were then struck again and again until they floated into the correct space.

4. More Pyramids

Traditionally, we are taught about the three great pyramids located in Giza. The massive structures have become a tourist destination with thousands of people trekking through the sand for a selfie every year. Oddly, though, there are over eighty more pyramids in Egypt alone and even more scattered across the globe. Pyramids have been a common archaeological creation for centuries; the ones in Giza are just the most popular due to their pristine appearance and convenient location. In fact, the oldest pyramid in Egypt is actually not located located in Giza at all, it was built around 2630 BC in Saqqara. Called the Pyramid of Djoser, it was constructed during Egypt’s third dynasty by the architect Imhotep and has been severely eroded over time.

  1. You really should find the emerald tablets of Thoth which seem to be about an Arlantian priest. The three hills the pyramids are put on ha e determined their size and the sun rising on one side of a tent and setting on the other gives the axis.

  2. Perhaps The Pyramids are Spaceships…or All part of a huge Mothership that broke down…run by Magnetism…it would have ended up pointing North …on its own value.
