Many are now convinced that the next scientific revolution has already begun, but without a theory of everything, with the result that the amount of misinformation is increasing, as over a trillion dollars was invested in AI research last year alone. I suggest skipping this film, which is horribly outdated, and reading up on the negative probabilities of Negative quantum mechanics, which have already established that a particle may contain an arbitrary amount of information, in direct contradiction to Shannon information entropy.

3. information is not like matter or energy that physical and must be conserved. information is immaterial that can be created and destroyed anytime.

   write a new book, it creates information out of nothing. now delete that book, the information is lost and irreverseable.

   abandon the idea of information conservation for good. and life will be easier

4. Ok, I'm not even a scientist but this is the free country of Internet so screw it: it still seems like a metaphor to me. Computers are machines built to solve problems. They have a function, which the universe lacks. Parrots can use human words but they don't speak any human language. They lack syntax. They do not intend to comunicate meaning. They just use the words in a stimulus-response behavior. Because the universe "stores" information in bits doesn't mean it computes. It does it according to the laws of physics with no purpose. To compute is to use bits to perform functions and solve problems… Right?

11. Why not be a deep meaning kind of guy. Wasn’t it deep thinkers that got science on its way?

12. Physical information is what reality, or nature, "knows" whether any intellect knows it or not. Nature knows, but it doesn't "care", about us or anything else (i.e.; no emotions). A prime example is evolution. Any intellect can hardly imagine a less efficient way to "improve" anything, and without some form of improvement, evolution would be nothing more than random variation. Improvement is NOT a purpose, it is merely one or more directions, such as towards increased complexity of order.

14. Classical and quantum have not yet yielded a grand unified theory, there may be more to come. One of the first investigations coming up will be the entanglement of two quantum computers for possibly researching black holes structure. They suspect from quantum computation experiments revealing more calculations than atoms in the universe that their quantum computers can and must be tapping into other dimensions. Computation may be the driving force of the expansion of our universe, quantum computation takes place in every cell of all life forms that we know of on earth, with each human having approximately 37 trillion cells in their body that means there is a whole lot of computation going on. It's estimated the human brain itself has on average 1,000 trillion bits per second of computation happening continually. All this computation is taking place at the basement level within the quantum loop gravity field, all other quantum fields are overlaid upon the gravity field and are emergent from the gravity field. God made the gravity field a continuous creation so that we humans never run out of storage space, cool…

15. If we could imagine about some far away very intelligent aliens, and then we ask, " would they ask the same questions we ask ?"
    would they ask about "meaning"? Humans are so Obsessed with Meanings of Things…..

16. Information is not entropy, information is immaterial. Thought, which is work creates ideas ( information ) which increases total entropy.
    Math and physical laws are immaterial information that always existed; we only discovered them.

22. 'Bits' of information can be derived from continuous symmetries, which in turn have fundamental relationships with the conservation laws. In fact, the actions of particular continuous maps on particular discrete topological spaces recapitulates complex Hilbert space, all of which can be derived from shannon entropy and the Lebesgue measure.

25. So you set up the conversation, but failed to deliver anything beyond a definition. I'm left with "so what?", "who cares?", "your jokes aren't funny", etc.

26. The comments on these videos by Closer To Truth are becoming more ludicrous as the months and years go on.

27. God's thoughts were spoken into technology called the Voice of God that stored those thoughts as invisible information that doesn't need any material to be stored on. The Voice of God is the servant that takes that information and delivers it into the invisible consciousness of each created being which processes that information into a visible world to experience. We are living in a simulation, not on a real earth whirling around in a real universe. These scientists are very lost puppies.

28. To me:
    Energy is information, energy frequencies are information, and the interactions between energy and energy frequencies are also information.

    Also to me:
    "Space" is pure energy. Wherever space is, energy is. Wherever energy is, space is.
    "Time" is the flow of that energy.
