Does the concept of observation have deep relevance in fundamental physics? What about in quantum physics where some kind of observation seems to be needed to transform “wave function” probabilities into actual events? What’s an “observation” anyway? What does it take to be an “observer”? Must it have some kind of sentience?

Seth Lloyd is a professor of mechanical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He refers to himself as a “quantum mechanic”.
Closer To Truth, hosted by Robert Lawrence Kuhn and directed by Peter Getzels, presents the world’s greatest thinkers exploring humanity’s deepest questions. Discover fundamental issues of existence. Engage new and diverse ways of thinking. Appreciate intense debates. Share your own opinions. Seek your own answers.

He was financed by EPSTEIN ..
Trying to locate quantum particles is like trying to know what number your dice will land on..We could know what number the dice would land on, but we lack all the required information, and the same with quantum physics…Like Einstein said…But quantum mechanics is complicated, people generally don't understand how small these particles are..
Einstein did not disagree with QM. He said that the Copenhagen interpretation was not satisfactory
Thank you for your bits of information

The universe is still a mechanistic system and virtually all advances in sci and tech are still in that area. "The observer" is parlor talk and has not yielded anything concrete or actually valuable or useful.
measurement leads to classic locality from quantum non-locality?
might measurement of quantum wave probability produce conscious experience?
I find the more I expand my consciousness, I have no friends….But this brings me so much peace and understanding…..
EXACTLY!!!!
Interesting talk and beautiful scenery.
Thank goodness they developed Quantum Mechanics! Otherwise, we would NOT have lasers, transistors, microprocessors, GPS, smartphones, MRI, laptops, the Internet, streaming, LEDs, modern chemistry, AI, CDs, DVDs, superconducting magnets, fiber optics, and MANY other modern tech/products. QM made the modern world possible.
As a gamer and armchair dev I think about system resources and open worlds a bit. As I've said before, quantum mechanics would offer an ingenious compression method by suppressing non-visible renders. You don't have to build the world until someone looks at it, saving storage and CPU. Likewise, maybe there'd be some kind of 'many worlds' garbage collection, possibly based on the lack of any player presence (like servers in CoD).
But before we start quoting Morpheus too much, remember that the simulation hypothesis does not answer and can only beg the fundamental question of "why?".
what calculations are studied at SUAC University?
energy might be act of observation that measures quantum probability / superposition into classic particle?
Like trying to catch my shadow lol… been at it for years.
From my perspective consciousness or conscience (with science) is your ability to predict the future.
Have someone read this to you with your eyes closed:
You're driving down a road in a neighborhood. As you pass by a car, a red ball rolls out onto the road.
The ball is now blue.
What is your first instinct?
Repeat the scenario but the ball is yellow and see yourself not doing anything different… cruise.
Now, see yourself stepping on the gas pedal to the floor.
What happens?
Open your eyes.
Daryl Brooks said, I don't have to think in his trial. He ran over people in a parade.
People want others to think about it. They want others to resonate with them.
Sharing should've, would've, could've gives them a purpose and sense of hope.
Each individual choice and physical matter or undiscovered vector has a purpose. But one purpose does not fill in each person's gaps or nature's gaps.
I believe in multiple perspectives and have an alternative mathematical paradigm revolving around philosophy, math and science. I want to teach Mario how to fly in Super Mario 3. But I can't. Mario can't see.
Hopefully, people fill in their gaps. Here's a beginning Stargate formula. It's not the end. It's the beginning.
I can't tell people what to do. That means they have free will. But if they use the science for greed and power, the computer knows not because it is sentient, but because information can be gathered and pattern calculations can be performed. And when others resonate with you, you might see something.
What I am saying is not true, but gets closer to the truth. I can do this calculus in my head and so can you if you saw something when you stepped on the gas pedal.
Quantum mechanics is Already measures it self
It's more great when scientists focus earth first

99.999999999….% of electrons are entangled?
This resembles solipsism or free will, philosophers creating problems that do not exist?
Many worlds anyone?
Those who know it, dont know it and those who dont know it, know it.
