  1. In your last example about averages. May it not be untrue in other situations? Let’s say the batting average of a high school softball team is .350. That does not mean than only one player has a .350 average? Maybe there are a few very high and many very low hitters and they average out to .350. You are correct to say that they all can’t be above (or below) the average. Am I missing something?
