  1. Behind the scenes: I hope that guy with the hockey stick is not still torturing poor spot and atlas. It'll be the recruiting video for the robot uprising..

  2. Robots will take over all of our jobs and soon enough the world. Not even the professional dance choreographers are safe!

  3. "We are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence — on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day" ~ John F. Kennedy

  4. God, guys, the sheer level of control these robots have over their movements is incredible. The choreography and (animation?) is so natural-looking. If I didn't know that these were real life robots, I would have said this looked animated and rendered in 3D; not recorded by a camera.

  5. What is that? $490,000 worth of Spot doing a super creepy dance? Love the allocation of resources.

All my life’s problems would be solved with that money and you use it to make a robot boy band (gender neutral band?).

  6. A forklift, builder, rescuer, helping hand, a guard (when lasers added), a dancer, musician, perhaps a singer (?), astronaut (soon) and most importantly, a yellow doge. Spot™ – just everything.

  7. Hmm, interesting fact about such dances in the context of robotics.. the joke/play of the robot dance is a person dancing all stiff/riged mimicking the stiffiness of a robot.. but now there are robots that dances as smooth as a human. The fact that there are robots like this right now.. should inspire science fiction robots from now on to be at the minimun as agile as these ones.
