I start a new base in Surviving Mars to explore the Artificial Intelligence Mystery.

In this episode:

I set up a new MEGA dome which will be for education and research. The AI Mystery started and asked us to build a network node. This moved the story along and they want even more network nodes for Number 6 to have more computing power. I think it’s alive!

We also had our mission evaluation and passed.

Recent updates:

One update to the game has been that when you power off a building now it no longer gets maintained! I’m glad they fixed this. They also nerfed martian copyrights so getting money for research gets worse each time you repeat it.

Build domes and infrastructure, research new possibilities and utilize drones to unlock more elaborate ways to shape and expand your settlement.

  1. I saw there was a mod to show your resources on the cargo rocket screen, I'd definitely recommend that. There was also one that automatically sets your colonists jobs so they prioritize working in their field (like should be in the game normally, ugh).

  2. The auto explore and auto gather do automatically come back to charge. Just because it says low battery doesn’t mean they’re stuck out there yet.

    Should get the mod that makes waste dump sites hold 5K
    That way you never need more then one or two for quite a while.
    And I love the automated factories, and extraction mods

  3. when you click on a dome, the third icon from the left on the top in that pop up, click on it to toggle from a normal dome to a birthing dome.

  4. There is a mod that extends a dome's area of work that helps you rach further spread out metal and rare metal deposits for workers to get to. Also there are worker-less extractor mods.

  5. One of your stirling generators near the concrete extractor doesn't have a cable connection to your power grid so it is making energy for nothing.

  6. It is safe to say I predicted food problems!!!!

    Medium domes 2 farms and mega domes 3 farms!!!

    Always have a surplus of food if you want lots of kids!!!

  7. I know a really powerful breakthrough in the game, it's called superconducting computing, turns all excess power into research, With the eternal fusion in fusion reactors as well I got to wonders before sol 60

  8. You can put more than one extractor on each underground resource. Placing the max of 6 extractors can be finicky. The unemployed in the current could work in a second rare metal extractor. edit: or a fungal farm.

  9. I hope someone makes a mod for the mohole mine, to disable the metal production, i'm at sol 500+ and i have over 10k metal 😉
