  1. Apologies for the mistake at 4:25. We mention Standard Oil and American Tobacco as examples for commodity monopolies that kept prices high, when in reality Standard Oil maintained its monopoly by artificially keeping price low to stifle out competition.

  2. Successful monopolies either come up with something entirely new or make an existing product accessible to the masses to the extent that it seems like something new.

The company that monopolizes the flying car may not build the first one. They will build the first affordable mass produced flying vehicle.

  3. I am done with all this, i have tried everything and only realized that either you need a lot of money or political support to build a dominant business. In todays world it looks like everything has been achieved by corporates and there is nothing more left. What's been built is strongly governed and owned by corporates. And if there is anything to build, the big tech giants have already built or are already building for they have 100,000s times the resources and capital I or anybody like me has. Now my goal is just to make little money that can help me survive in some beautiful far off European village. That's all. I am done. I have been depressed all my life and the levels of hopelessness have crossed all limits. Living a peaceful life away from this digital bullshit would be better for me than living in this fucked up world and commiting a suicide.
