  1. I remember thinking about this and now they made it, wow, that was my big idea to make a suitcase that follows you.

  2. Pretty sure airlines won't like that. They're not too keen on things that look like they could be bombs, and a battery that large looks like it could be a brick of C4/Semtex, and even if they were convinced it was a battery, they don't like big batteries either.

This might do well on kickstarter, but I doubt anyone will have a good owning experience with it if they plan to fly with it.

Btw, CNET, please don't start thinking kickstarter is a good source of new gadget/tech stories. At least wait until they start shipping (which often never happens).

  3. There are smart innovations and not so smart innovations, unless you have 10 suitcases with you this is not a good idea, or no arms, well there is a market for you

  4. ok now how is that a bright invention , cause somebody can always run up and take it, even if its to show the person what can possibly happen. Technology not so smart

  5. It have to be in super smooth surface, cannot be to heavy, and from the demo it super slow. Great idea , GOOD LUCK. but my money goes to lighter and more durable luggage, cause in my world my airline luggage allowance 20-30 kg not 100 kg.

  6. It's TOO small to carry anything useful guys . . ever tried to pack your clothes into this size of bag and as soon as you put a pair of sneakers and jacket inside it, the ENTIRE bag is virtually FULL !!!!

  7. I own one and it is not this slow. It actually moves quick and very reflexive. It also has cameras 360 degrees so you can’t even trick it with the phone in your pocket. I tried running in circles and it moves with me the whole time. It also has manual control so you can operate it from the app. That’s pretty cool. Well built, quality interior. So far worth the 300 on Kickstarter.

  8. So you have to walk real slow and keep looking behind you every 5 seconds. The only use case I see is giving it to a disabled person. Neat idea, terrible execution.

  9. This is exactly what I need. As a disabled, I found traveling alone and hauling having bags extremely challenging. Funny enough, I was thinking of working on something like this buy… alas!
