The Subjectiveness of Reality in the Quantum Era | Jared Lolli | TEDxSOAS

TEDx Talks

What is the real message of quantum physics? And how this affects our vision of science and reality?
Starting by comparing how human brain and science elaborate our perceptions, physicist Jared Lolli explains what is new in quantum physics and how this can change our perspectives on reality.
From a very simplified version of the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, he shows a way to interpret quantum physics and to understand one of its most debated implications: quantum entanglement.

Jared studied physics at the Università ‘La Sapienza’ in Rome and at the ‘École Normale Supérieure’ in Paris.
He currently works on quantum mechanics as a PhD student and is assistant teacher at ‘Université Paris Diderot’.
Originally from Italy, he has a serious problem settling down: he has lived in Spain, France, Germany and Brazil.
Science, languages, acrobatics, playing music: he is deeply passionate about learning in general.
He strongly believes in working together in a horizontal and cooperative association.
He loves eating, he is always late, but not for the TEDx at the SOAS!

This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
