I’ve been getting a lot of similar questions so I have created a Q/A on my website – all about watercolor PAPERS, pigments, taping down etc 😃www.mariamorjane.com and go to a BLOG

★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★

All annotations on colors and brushes are in the video.

The white pigment I use is an opaque watercolor – GOUACHE (Holbein)
I use it instead of my regular watercolor whites which are too transparent for my style of painting.

  1. Hi Maria, watching your videos from New York during Covid lock down. Thank you so much! They are so peaceful and you are so talented! I notice you try and respond to almost all of the comments. That is so thoughtful. I have never seen that done, in all the YouTube videos I have ever watched. God Bless You!

  2. Hi Maria, I just joined your YouTube channel, for $4.99 a month. I am wondering if I joined Patreon, for $9.00 per month, how this is different from the $4.99 fee? Is it one or the other, or do they overlap somehow. Thanks.

  3. This is another beautiful painting of yours, thank you for sharing. I am wondering how you keep your paper so moist during the whole painting process? When I do wet-on-wet things start to dry out before I can complete the process. Then I get those dreaded hard edges where they don't belong. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thank you again for all your beautiful videos.

  4. I have never appreciated any painting this much. I believe even the real tulips would not be able to surpass the beauty of these. I am in love with this piece of art

  5. wow – an art lesson and meditation session all in one, many thanks, that was beautiful to watch and cant wait to try some of your techniques 🙂

  6. So beautiful ,i just wanted to paint my own tulips and they kind of look like a childrens painting…oh well, you said it will get better someday😝❤️

  7. Very beautiful painting! Thank you for sharing the video tutorial. I attempted to follow along however, when I tried to put in the background tulips, the paint feathered out everywhere. Yours blurred a bit, but the paint primarily stayed put. I would love your ideas on what I did differently. Too much water on the paper? I did reapply water several times as I am probably much slower than you. Too much water in my paint? If I could figure out how to upload a pic, I would show you … frightful. 🙂 I may go ahead and finish just to practice the "in focus" flower. Thanks again.

  8. Hi Maria…. on a cold and dank January day here in southern UK, I've had a go at painting these gorgeous tulips with the help of your fab instructions… not a patch on yours… but feeling pleased with my end result all the same.. will keep practising… ❤😊🎉

  9. I get lost in watching the magic you create. The tulips are so very beautiful. I learn so much from your videos. I watch each video multiple times and learn something every time. Thank you so much.

  10. Are the silver velvet brushes worth the hype? I was going to buy them at one point, but realised they synthetic mix. Are they really better than others? I love everything you create, you are so inspiring xxx

  11. so wonderfull.., if you dont stare the flower it looks real…, yeah it looks so real…, so amazing..thankyou for sharing this painting to us…
