Undercover Boss – Clark Builders S3 E3 (Canadian TV series)

Reality

The construction industry is booming. Even in this turbulent economy, it provides work for 1 in every 16 Canadians. Clark Builders is responsible for creating commercial and industrial buildings. It was launched in 1974, back in Yellowknife, with just a dozen employees. Today it is a $600 million a year powerhouse, headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta, with a nearly thousand-strong workforce throughout the Western provinces. Andy Clark, the Executive Chairman and Company Founder, believes that every time the company takes on a project, it has an opportunity to strengthen its reputation – or ruin it. He says: “My name may be on the door, but it’s the guys on site who make the company.” Keen to find out what those guys think of the company he runs, and to discover ways to improve productivity, he puts on a tool belt for the first time in 30 years and joins his building site crews. But what one worker says leaves him so distraught, his entire undercover mission is jeopardized when he takes off his disguise and reveals that’s he’s not the new guy in town — he’s the boss![27]

  1. this show is such a bunch of bullshit , yeah the ceo"s of these companies help the 2 or 3 people they film but what about the hundreds of employees that get beat the f**k down every day . screw you go tf back to your million dollar home and reap the lifesyle that my blood sweat tears stress afford you

  2. I hope ever CEO, boss, watches this. This guy ant greedy and is an amazing man. I'm a king framer and after watching this I'm going to go meet this guy in person. Humble successful person!!!! I have a lot of respect for people like this guy

  3. All these workers families with cancer. I hope this wasn't a setup and was really a coincidence that he happened to get paired with these guys. My wife died of cancer 10 years ago. Amazing to see such a great company. I'm a excavation sub in Utah. I have a couple good generals but there are a lot of bad ones here. Pay takes 3 months to get, superintendents who are just mean. Wish Clark would come to Utah.

  4. my dad used to also tell me how useless I was to. now I am older and I avoid him at all cost, I do not send him Christmas cards or birthday card, I never call him I never visit him, even though he lives 2 minutes away. its good you turned it around .

  5. I worked for Clark builders once in Edmonton building a bank the supervisors was a really mean guy like would swear at you call you a idiot. I showed up really early one day to site and he was having sex with a women in his trailer . It was shaking and moans lmao. The carpenter foremen looked like buzz light years twin and everyone called him buzz 😂
I was hit in the head by a 10 foot luma beam on that site a green horn rolled a beam of a scaffold and hit me in the head . Doctor said it was like being in a 60-80 km car crash . So during time of recovery I was put on light duty and sent to a training shop to push broom or do what ever.
The best thing was they put me in a skid steer course and which I passed and got a ticket for skid steer. I later used this ticket in getting jobs.
ON that note the day I was able to back to full duties I was laid off . I was so mad and frustrated that I was only one who was laid off from that site . I thought with the skid steer training they would have put me in that or on a different site just something to keep me working. No composition for my injury either didn’t offer to pay the ambulance bill either . I’ve never been the same with a brain injury since that day.
So all in all I thought it was a horrible company to work for.
Who ever hired me was like you want to further your career with us and we will send you to school for carpentry. Just hyping up the company and then they lay you off with no hope or a possible return day .
I’m the end I had to move cities cause there was no work in my field.

  6. These are all the same someone has kids who need to go threw college, someone has a sick wife, or someone doesnt have a car lmao they all end the same
