ब्रह्म क्या है? | Episode 31 – चित स्वरुप
Another aspect of the nature of the Self is ‘Chit’ or Consciousness. Consciousness is that life principle which keeps our body and mind alert. This aspect of Atman is the topic of this episode.
A proud Balaki reaches King Ajatashatru and starts teaching him the knowledge of the Self. However, King Ajatashatru’s irrefutable arguments leave him speechless. Accepting King Ajatashatru as his guru (teacher) he starts learning from him.
The Sutradhar (anchor) expands this thinking through the story from Kenopanishad of the victory by the Devatas (Gods). Following their victory, the Devatas start believing that it is because of their might that they have attained victory. At that time a Yaksha comes to their gate and asks the Devatas if they were really the cause of their victory. Each of the Devatas are tested and fail. Finally, Indra himself comes to face the Yaksha but instead faces the ‘knowledge power’ of the Life Principle.
