The view of Earth from space is one that few of us will ever get to experience. To see the planet as a single orb in the expanse of space can change the way you feel about your life, our species, and our place in the universe. It’s an experience currently reserved for the fortunate few who carry the torch of humanity into space.
Helen Sharman, Daniel Tani, Michael Barratt and Jean-Francois Clervoy recall that moment when they first set eyes on our blue planet from above.
‘A Place Called Space’ is the 2015 Royal Institution advent calendar. Every day in the run up to Christmas we’ll be releasing an original piece of content exploring the human experience and cultural significance of space travel. With hand-drawn animations, experiments in zero gravity, interviews with astronauts and creative data visualisations, the calendar will fire you into space every morning.

Why they don't show videos from farther distance?
If we make it to the distance future I don't think it would be bizzare to assume that every human who desires to leave earth will be able to at some point. I can imagine interstellar academics for the youth to learn and train from a young age.
What if earth made noises? Like if you went pass it and you could hear beluga whales, the calls of parrrots, etc
looks can truly deceive you,just look at how the earth looks from outer space ,so peaceful yet there is corruption,wars and all the useless activities that happen [wars]
