What is Mindfulness? And How Does it Help Decrease Anxiety?

What is Mindfulness? Is it all about doing mindfulness meditations and mindfulness exercises? Or is it a way of being. A general attitude or outlook on life? And the answer is YES! It is both.

Being mindful is just a fancy way of saying being present.

And because most of us don’t spend much time actually being present, or brains don’t always know how to do it on their own, which is why we have to practice it by being intentionally more mindful.

In essence, mindfulness teaches us to slow down our brain, to be present. To be right here, right now.

Much research has been done on mindfulness and it has been found to have some really significant mental and physical health benefits.

As far as its impact on some of the most common mental health struggles, it has been found to help with depression, anxiety, panic disorders, and self-esteem issues.

And in this video I talk about exactly what mindfulness is and how you can start becoming more mindful right now, and get the mental, mindset, and physical health benefits from it… without having to sit cross legged on the floor chanting “om” for hours on end.

  3. Haven’t watched the video but here’s my 2 cents. It allows you to detach yourself from your emotions and look at them from a birds eye perspective, and that’s how I look at my thoughts now, like random clouds (thoughts) in a big blue sky (your mind). It has really helped me with anxiety more than anything else has. But you need to try it a few times like four 10-min sessions. Try it.

Hi Julia Kristina I just watched this & wanted to say your videos are so amazing and I really enjoyed this one, as I am one that just is go, go, go never slowing down and being present until recently just because I would rather respond than react because it is such a better feeling & mood when I respond rather than react so watching you & listening to you is so helpful and I need to learn more on mindfulness so I am going to find ways for being more mindful and your Good for me group I just recently joined & love that as well but I will start making sure that on Fridays I tune in for your live q & a ❤️ please Julia help teach me some more about mindfulness?   8. Mindfulness means the state of being present or rather to be in touch with the presence and the ongoings as you presicly notice what is happening inside you besides what's happening around you.
    You feel as if there is a monkey in your brain but mindfulness teaches us to observe the things with curiosity without momentary judgment. Mindfulness means the mind presence towards what is happening at the same time meanwhile the capability to get around the reality behind every single emotion you feel then accept it. We learn how to respond instead of reacting towards things therefore we stay well balanced
