Why Do Inklings and Octolings have Breasts? | Gnoggin – Splatoon Theory

Lockstin & Gnoggin

In all seriousness, lets look at the science, the anatomy of squids and octopuses, as well as the lore of Splatoon to find out the answer to this curious question. That’s right, this may be a silly topic, but its entirely educational.

  1. Imma just put my theory out here:

So I'd like to think that inkilings in fact since they had to evolve to be on land they also had to evolve to feed and give birth to their young. Squids lay eggs which are always in the water in a really gelatinous shell, and to top that off when squids lay their eggs they never stay with them. Infact some species straight up die after breeding. So when on land they have to evolve to now care for their young and since they're now "humanoids" or more sentient they have developed more humanity in a way. Leaving a child behind is now frowned upon and since they have to feed and take care of their young, they developed mammary glands to make things easier.

Idk I like to come up with my own little theories on the game :.)

  2. Man, I should have came to you first regarding where the ink sack is located in an Inkling. You answered my question and more without making it all so awkward (and I totally agree, don’t just pick team Marina simply because it’s her for cod sake).

It makes sense for the ink sack to located in their upper chest for both genders since the tank that holds their ink has a tube that almost looks like it’s plugged into the back in the same position. My question now is how that tank device works and how ink is reloaded into the tank when recharging.

Again thanks for this video, you’ve helped me nail the ink sack question and all the best in your future videos.
