WTF is Quantum Retrocausality? (ft. Physics Girl)

Seeker

What if the future influences the past? It could, according to this new quantum theory.

Physicists provide support for retrocausal quantum theory, in which the future influences the past

“Recently some physicists have been looking into this idea, called ‘retrocausality,’ because it can potentially resolve some long-standing puzzles in quantum physics.“

The Quantum Mechanics of Fate

“Physicists as renowned as John Wheeler, Richard Feynman, Dennis Sciama, and Yakir Aharonov have speculated that causality is a two-headed arrow and the future might influence the past.”

“That concept is also known as entanglement, and it’s what allows particles that have once interacted to share a connection regardless of the separation between them.”

  1. i really am starting to think that the past future and present are all just higher dimensions, they require each other to exist. Like how 3d required the 2d plane and 2d requires the 1d plane to exist.
Hence the past requires the future which makes the present and vice versa.
All of these fields may just end up being new spacial dimensions for which things that are 3d can act in or be influenced by these higher dimensions that are all forcing each other to exist and interact.
They are all coordinates on a field that can be mapped through space time

  2. Say you have two- let's say blue boxes connected two eachother (representing a photon ) one containing a green ball, the other a red. Let's say you broke the blue boxes apart, send one lightyears away- then open the other- this act instantly gives you knowledge of what the box you sent away contains. Not spooky at all :/

  3. 'Its because you're just not thinking fourth dimensionally, Marty'… Imagine that the 3rd dimension is time. And you see only x and y, and z only in one point (more or less like a tomography). So if you move along the z axis through, say a cube, you see no difference, now if you move the cube along x or y, you see it's movement the same no matter the z (time) position while within the object boundaries. So it has retrowhatever property.
    That's how I see it.

  4. Made me think, if one were to travel to the past simply put, all instances are the future regardless of any exterior reference, you would travel forward to the past implying spacetime is a closed loop, or existence repeats? I’d like to know where causality fits amongst time travel should it be deemed possible ? happy thinking lol

  5. Lol old ideas reused to avoid new findings that suggest you can never see it all let alone test it. I'm talking the findings on a 5th dimension which is a second dimension of time. It is theorised this second dimension of time is what causes particle wave duality as in the double slit experiment and quantum entanglement to start with.

  6. 4:05 yes it is my friends light time travel mkve particules and hold them stable in anothers dimension but same dimension. Then you move from a you are positive then you create b you negative then you c you move fast teleportation move with fizic body to calcucated direction its.like a shedingers cat theory mixed thing.

  7. Go away Physics Girl, if I wanted to watch you I'd go to your channel. And why the hell are there 2 narrators in a bunch of videos??? They're like 5 minutes long, I think Trace can handle that on his own.

  8. Measure an accumulation of radio v. gamma waves in two experiments. One changing the î of the radio waves to equivocate the amplitude of the gamma waves and the other changing the î of the gamma waves to equivocate the amplitude of the radio waves. Note differences.

  9. So for example let’s say thermodynamics applied to the fifth dimension in the fourth dimension in the fourth and fifth and third dimension were all connected to each other what would that look like

  10. All these people don't understand what quantum entanglement really is about. Usually simplest answer the correct one? The spin of the atoms aren't actually chosen when the other is measured, they are chosen the moment of entanglement

  11. I don't remember Albert Einstein saying the two particles are somehow connected… I think he instead opposed this thing… It was a different was a physician
    ???

  12. Quantum retrocausality is when I smoke weed and feel brainy and philosophical, so I go on YouTube to watch some deep, science video, but then….. I forgot where I was going with this.

  13. If entanglement reaches into the past that must mean that the past hasn't gone away, it's there static waiting for an observer to go through it again, particles are in superposition, observer collapses them into a reality of his own and like a movie, but interactive, and the past reveals itself again and through entanglement it also again affects future and past since that moment.
