Your Quantum Mind with Brenda Dunne

New Thinking Allowed with Jeffrey Mishlove

Brenda Dunne served for 28 years as laboratory manager of the Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research (PEAR) program. With Robert G. Jahn, she is coauthor of Margins of Reality: The Role of Consciousness in the Physical World, Consciousness and the Source of Reality: The PEAR Odyssey, Quirks of the Quantum Mind, and Molecular Memories. She also served as coeditor of Filters and Reflections: Perspectives on Reality and Being and Biology: Is Consciousness the Life-Force. She currently serves as president of the International Consciousness Research Lab (ICRL). Her website is http://icrl.org/.

Here she suggests that the complementarity and uncertainty principles of quantum physics can be thought of as metaphors for the operation of the human mind. The term “metaphor” should not be thought of as trivial — as metaphors are always necessary when endeavoring to describe direct internal experience. All of the observations and thoughts that created quantum physics as we know it today are, in fact, products of the human psyche. The discussion focuses additionally on the experimenter effect in parapsychology.

New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in “parapsychology” ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980).

  1. Told my adult kids about the chicks/plants…..got the rolled eyeballs – and “Mom there is no true random number generator!”. Can there be randomness in an infinite universe ? Or can there only be randomness in infinity ?

  2. witches are confusing, hh, I certainly believe that everything, including ET phenomenon, consists of a piece of All, when we meditate, and release everything that binds on this earth, we become more aware that there is more than matter, which is not susceptible but can really be understood emotionally and logically, why must everything be proven when the evidence is ready for every individual … pay attention to the signs. this is not for everyone, but that too has a reason, thank you lady Dunne and sir Mishlove to bring her into my life…

  3. Someone may find the Youtube channel “offthelefteye” interesting. Its about the writings of Emanuel Swedenborg who was a scientist, theologian.

  4. "We can never escape our own experience, but sometimes our experience can escape back into the world." aha! – I'm a longtime listener and I would like to thank you and your guests for continuing to provide the content and conversation we need in these times.

  5. None of these people actually understand the observer effect and then bend it to their own motives. It's really bad.

  6. The Trick is to Fall in Love with the silent spaces in between each thought. Because when we fall in Love with something, That is what Holds our Attention. Very quickly the silent spaces grow longer , and the negative thoughts in turn get fewer. Keep your attention on the silent Gaps , and you will fall in love with it. 90% of all suffering is thought based. peace 🎼🎧🎼👌

  7. Although consciousness may be the foundation of being, it seems that beliefs are still the stock in trade of discourse. The question is: What relation does belief really have to consciousness? One might be tempted to say "un" (none); but is that really true? Does data reflect anything of consciousness itself, or is it only a measure of the influence of something on the perception of the image of "reality" on the contents of consciousness? It seems that there is still a gap between the perceptible and the conceptual – even more, the ontic reality.
Thomas Budzynsky used to tell tales of pretty lab assistants influencing the outcomes of his biofeedback studies – they always got better results.
So far, it seems to me the most dramatic success of the PEARL and its successor programs is your ability to put together collaborative relationships with talented and accomplished people who were both able and willing to work with each other on the issues of questionably-scientific explorations and ideas. My question for you is whether you see this ability to be some application of your innate abilities, or whether there was some sort of intrusion of higher/greater/outer consciousness or power that came upon you to lead you in the right direction and to make the right decisions.

  8. Many people had collective experiences like for e.g. moments before 9/11 event. I bet some people who watch these videos had it, this is one of many examples we can share.

  9. Definitely one of my favorite channels on youtube! Very grateful for Dr. Mishlove and for the work he does. This talk with Mrs. Dunne was very inspirational and insightful; I definitely need to read her books to learn more.

  10. however spinoza wasn't the only jewish to be excommunicated. for example there is sabbetai zevi, the jewish messiah, and many people accused to be followers of shabbateanism or of Frankism, another messianic movement in jewish tradition

  11. What exists as we know it also exists in a realm we don't yet hardly know because of division or call it "creatifission". We live in a divided existence on this side now and on the other side too, simultaneously. When you're a baby in the womb of your mother, you are not yet experiencing this reality from your perspective, but you actually are to some degree. It's a length of time experience that eventually becomes the higher reality. All realities are specific to you and your own individual observation of which is unique in itself but similar, which allows for relativity or say a willful conscious ability to share. If not for similarity, nothing would relate at all. You are experiencing something like what a seed would experience and then sprouts. Eventually there's a forest. As a fetus and as full grown human beings we can feel that the next reality is there, that we're nurtured from it and inevitably will experience it. Likewise is the spirit world to what we know now as the physical world. We are experiencing both and eventually will thrive in the spirit world, a higher reality. And there may be realities beyond the spirit world. Perhaps, an infinite number of realities.
Two Truths that I feel should be Universal Law, let alone scientific law, are Uniqueness and Similarity. These state that "all things" are anew and that all things "anew" are similar-to from where they came by transcendence or division. One thing will never be another thing. They cannot occupy the same space nor can they originate at the same time. Only our Creator is whole. (1/= 1+.5ab + .5ba = M/F by cooperation/will or freewill). The Whole thing does not divide but creates anew (now we have 2 new things cooperatively that are similar-to from where they came as compared to 1 whole thing. Duality stems from the whole state. So it's a thing that "is" whole plus things anew that retain similar properties from where they came. This happened which then allows for that to happen. I feel there is a law of eventuality, as well. This states that all things originate with everlasting purpose. I'm no scientist but it seems to me we live in a very corrective universe which suggests eventuality. Will I enter a reality beyond this reality? Eventually.

  12. Just the other day I was listening to a RSA's (Royal Society of Arts, UK) talk about the "scientific methode"
Good point (as well) the author makes in there:

    On a more personal note:
I was listening highly 🙄 Intentionally to every word Brenda has spoken just hoping to hear more on her personal-current-enbodiment-life.

I still sens her being closly related – it's like looking at my grand mother (from my father side) which "happens" to have had a daughter before my father (now, 69 y.o.) which, as the word goes, she has died when she was just some months old[…] ¿¡
Until her last days my grand-mother would be talking to me about having dreams in which she many times appeared… Unfortunately she wouldn't have given more details about and I didn't know how to ask the right questions, at the time… 🤕

Therefore, I would have loved to find out more in these interviews (or other sources) to explain myself the strong feeling I get…
Finding Brenda's birthday on the net, somewhere would help with a starting point, beside this feeling… 😉
