|2| A Deal on the Yangtze – (Fengtian Clique) Kaiserreich China

TheWoodstock

Down with the Qing oppressors! Long live the legacy of Xinhai!

Zhang Zuolin and his clique are finally ready to strike back…after the disastrous end to the Beiyang “order” brought about by the northern expedition and the subsequent german intervention, the Fengtian army find itself cornered beyond the Great Wall by the forces of their arch-rival, the Zhili. This is nothing new for the hardy northeasterners, however, unlike in the past, the Zhili are supported in full by a puppet emperor and the german imperialists! Because of this despicable foreign meddling, our good Marshal Zhang has been forced to agree to ever greater cooperation with the pan-Asian brothers of Japan, which operates in Manchuria through the seemingly all-powerful Mantetsu trust and the Concordia Association syndicate. Navigating through the muddy waters of Japanese interests will be difficult if the Fengtian wish to establish their legitimate government, but things are further complicated by the factional strife within the clique: regionalists, republican exiles, bandits, old loyalists and robber barons all wish for a share of the pie that the rapid economic development of the North East and the reconquest of the south are sure to bring. Can the Marshal be a good helmsman and steer the ship that is China towards the Great Rejuvenation of the Nation?

  1. I feel like that gang of three event was a reference to some very obscure thing happened in China a long time ago? Weird shit happened there back then I am not big brain enough to know it.

  2. You forgot another massive anti-foreigner riot ( well anti-japanese ) second to May Fourth was after the 918 incident which cause riots along the Yangtze but the heavies one of course is at Shanghai, the record show that from July of 1931 to 32' japan lost about 41M japanese yuan ( idk how that much in 2020 ) and in 1930 Shanghai had 30% of imported japanese goods, it drop to 3% at 31', this HUGE riots in shanghai also caused japan to take action later known as 128 incident to "protect" japanese citizens

  3. thumbnail be like: "When you're a Chinese warlord wanting to unite and free china from imperialists, so you align with imperialist Japan, allowing Japanese companies to drain your national resources, resulting in Zaibatsu and Mantetsu influencing a puppet faction into power, that chooses to further incorporate your country into Japan, effectively turning your country into a colonial state of the Japanese empire… But at least you dabbed on the Manchu emperor, right??"

  4. Another Kaiserreich China serie! Fengtian is actually the name given to the city of Shenyang rather than the province of Liaoning by the Qing court. Shenyang is a much older name for the city, Fengtian loosely means "worship the Heaven" and is used to implicate that Qing which originated from the Manchuria had the mandate.

  5. Big Brain Zhang Zuolin making loads of WIN!
Now, we just need to get Blessed Chen Jiongming on board this non-Mantetsu Fengtian train, take the focus "Two Dragons Taming Water", and the Bestest Blessed China Timeline will be achieved! 😀

  6. Wait so did I get it wrong? Both said the other can keep their land if they revoke their claim on each other. And you decided they keep their land and they accepted. So if you said no you have to give the land to the other that would suck

  7. I like how youtube CC says Chinese Eastern Railway (capitalized as they know what it is.).. but they turn "Chita" into Cheeta and cheetah…. atleast it is not "shitter".
