    A soul has three Shariras , the Physical (Sthula) , Astral (Sookshma) and Causal (Karana).

    When we continuosly think of a mantra we move into our Sookshma Sharira using our mind primarily instead of the gross body.

    If we are fully focussed we move into the causal or karana sarira and this has the same effect as that of deep sleep i.e. it refreshes a person.
