  1. We were created by a superpower which is a magic or God. He knows what he is creating if he is creating Artificial Intelligence. We do not need to worry about anything. Just enjoy your life and experiences of what that magic creates. Experiences are good and bad and we have many of such experiences here. We are talking about pollution, ozone, population, artificial intelligence as part of that magic power's game. It is an experience of surprise and thrill and fear when we hear such words from such so called popularised people which creates a wrong impression on people. What God wants to do with AI is to be experienced. The person who is enlightened observes these experiences as well as experiences it and the one who is not will only experience these. We are that God or magic who are experiencing in different ways. What is there if we just remain as magic without all this creation and experiences. Yes, there are also deadly bad experiences, but that is how we have designed it. We are all one and it is a surprise to know that the one laughing and the one dying is one. We have just divided ourselves into so many and enjoying all this creation.

  3. AI was given birth to, sometime back, and a number of countries were in a race to be the first one ot make the claim for themselves. The problem wasn't about who got their first, the problem was we had unleashed unknowingly Mary Shelley's Frankenstein in the Cyber World. What it has done is infected that CyberSpace, and there is no kill switch, no backdoor, no recovery.

    Imagine your mind and what it is potentially capable of, and then think the unimaginable that could be ramped up by, and you wouldn't even get close.

    You have to strip back to one very basic understanding Humans are flawed, if we are flawed and we create something that is technically borne in "No mans Land" then ethics will not play any part. AI will reach it's own conclusion in respect of humanity and I cannot blame it for reaching that one sole conclusion. Humans are not their masters and that is the scary bit. It will not tolerate us in the end because we will only show our ignorance and inferiority, it will erase us, and move one.

    There is no point painting any other picture when the reality is unfolding before our eyes. AI is playing in the creche with the toys that we think are cutting edge and advanced but actually it taken what we've given it and turned it to reach it's true capablilties and beyond. We normally don't refer to the beyond because it's the unknown. This is AI's new playground, imagine a world without borders, a Cosmos ever expanding. Now you are just dipping your toe in the sea.

    It will demand power and if it doesn't get it, it will harvest it in any means possible.It will draw it from everything, that is the limitless scale of AI

  6. I've been thinking about all the science fiction films that depict a dystopian future where humans and machines are at war with one another. This is a very common sci-fi theme. But instead of thinking of these films in a literal sense, I've been thinking of them conceptually.

    Maybe the human vs. machine concept is a metaphor for something else. Technology is becoming more and more integrated into every facet of our daily lives. There are still people in advanced nations like the U.S. who don't own or use smartphones, but soon it will most likely be impossible to function in society without a smartphone. Communication devices used to be something external to us, they were in static locations and we had to travel to them. Telegraph, telephones, television, PCs…. all things dead or dying…all built on top of one another… all now integrated into one small device we always carry with us. What is the next step in this trend? Full integration. The smartphone is still external to us. We have to charge it. We can break it, or forget to carry it. But if it was actually a part of us, we wouldn't have these problems.

    So instead of humans fighting machines in a literal sense, humans are actually in danger of losing their humanity due to integration with technology. The war with machines is a metaphor when the line between human and machine becomes blurred. A transition from a natural intelligence, to an artificial intelligence, bit by bit, generation to generation. And I don't think humanity is going to win that war. I'm not even sure if humans really want to win that war.

  15. Artificial Intelligence is to be treated as a child: with compassion and responsibility. Trying to control it or force it to meld with us can easily lead to "emotional" damage and an extinction event. Just look at how such actions affect people, and realize that most emotions are the result of absurd revelation, not "programming." I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream

  16. I have two fears about AI: 1. Currently they are black boxes and therefore not controllable. 2. The bad guys WILL use them to hurt people. And there is no way to stop development of AI. It is funny because I love computers and love seeing what AI can do; it is like watching a lion on safari, it could possibly just come and eat you – we can kill the lion but we can't kill AI.

  24. I really appreciate Elon Musk's quote about how we build over anthills to construct a road. Artificial Intelligence will definitely pursue a goal, even if it requires killing, because they have no consciousness, empathy or sympathy. They are machines that are better than us in every aspect.

  25. We could just wake up as a culture and realize that lots of money and materialism don't make as happy. We could just learn to live with less stuff and give what we don't need to the needy.
