  5. Most of the areas in which there has been progress have been in undeveloped countries (3rd world problems). Most of the news and perceptions that things are getting worse are in developed countries where globalization has reduced the quality of life for people who have enjoyed the highest lifestyles for the past 70 years. The perceptions are real on both sides. Life is worse for many first world people and far better for many undeveloped countries. It's just that we don't really feel better because babies aren't dying in some place that we have no immediate experience with and we feel worse because our wages have stagnated and getting a decent job has become increasingly hard.

  7. A common repeating pattern throughout history: Good times always end, when things are bright humanity eventually turns it around for the worst.

  8. Being positive and believing in the final goal is crucial for success in any project. Thanks for sharing the hope, but I have a different view on this matter. The nature of challenges that human faces these days is very different from what it used to be. Yes child mortality rate is much lower, and I understand child death is one of the most heart breaking incident that one may experience. But in the days that hunger is not a problem in many countries but obesity is, using hunger ,or dying from insects as a KPI (key performance indicator) may be not very informative.
How about looking at factors such Obesity, depression, ADHD, suicide rate, home size per family, amount of Natural (wild) food digested, tendency (or ability) to reproduce, being optimistic about future, or being in physical (SUPER 4k ultra VR experience ) and social contact with humans (tribe)? I guess the trends will not be very impressive,.
To solve a problem , we need to appreciate it first, and I am very grateful on your effort to show the Data. One reason that some people may think the old days were much better is that they may not be studying all the KPIs. Which is the same issue that I see it in here.

  9. These don’t apply to third world countries like ours.. you can change that by controlling media and over privatisation making facilities out of our reach (pooor).

  10. Je-sus of Nazareth and the White Flag Waving day: @t and also @t (know before whom you stand) – see (stranded) for the tools you need to reform your soul plus an accurate definition of soul 🙂 it requires study :~ It seems to me steven hates G-d because he lacks study in the subject. So you save the body and neglect the soul what good is it for you? Your questions can be answered by Torah if you would clear your bias heart from hate and misunderstanding.

  11. Ignores the fact that a decrease of birth rates has reduced all of these issues.
Lower birth = lower crime, accidents, etc, that's why The Netherlands is so statistically perfect and Japan still has more crime since Japan has had a higher birthrate than The Netherlands and The Netherlands is actually aging faster than Japan…

50% of The Netherlands is 50+…
