But the US has gone to war every few years since the 40ties?
While Europe has gone to war less frequently, the United States has entered "conflicts" every few years such that there are no years since 1945 that the US have not been in conflict and been suffering casualties.
"never going to happen"
Mr. Pinker I'd love to believe but let's be real – we have nuclear proliferation on our hands and pos-unipolar world…There will be of incertainty and a lot of people with nuclear weapons. I find it hard to believe that along the way no one will make a mistake and nuclear war wont happen.
Hello mr gates you should come to canada and come to meet me at mayfield high school caledon ontario I'm a huge fan my name is Colin Nielson I would love to meet you thanks for your time
Do you think ww3 didnt happen or is unlikely to happen, because despite Hiroshima, people nowadays dont have the balls to use nuclear weapons?
Especially if it may mean that the opposition, might retaliate with a nuclear weapon of their own
1:44 Dont be so sure in an attempt to be positive or optimistic. What if, 2 countries that had nuclear weapons coincentally elected 2 nihilists in the same era? Then your conclusion could go straight down the drain
