6. My wife has braces as an adult because her teeth were ignored as a child. She wore a Herbst appliance with expanders, then a permanent bite plate for a long time, plus headgear. She had a very severe lisp. She’s looking at a few more years of braces. Don’t ignore this, get it done when you’re young, you don’t want to be an adult with a mouth full of metal and plastic cemented in for years.

10. I currently have the fixed bite plane and trust me it's depressing even after 3 months. Your speech is majorly impacted and you feel so uncomfortable with it's presence. 3-5 more months to go.

    I feel tired when trying to speak properly

    Especially my work need me to talk much

20. my dentist fitted 4 molar bands yesterday in my teeth. But the bands are not touching my gums. I guess they are of short size. I am also not able to close my mouth. bcz my bands are above the teeth. Is this thing ok? Or should I revisit dentist?

22. Day 1 for me.
    I have this exact same bite plate, color and everything. Talking and eating is really a challenge. I'm really trying to adjust to it though as it's supposed to do and I can feel my mouth dealing with it. I'm a mouth breather but with this thing it almost makes it easier to breathe with my nose and encourages me to do so. I have a fixed bite plate too, so there's no taking it out, really no choice but to deal with it 24/7.
    I can't finish my spaghetti right now 🙁

27. The way they banded the thigs put so much pressure in my teeth it hurts do bad as well having a bite plate I feel like my top of my mouth is swelling

30. Hey hey ive got mine today and i cant speak properly and clearly also im unable to chew my food . Is there anything i can do to improve my pronunciation with bite plate . Ik it sounds supper weird to ask this but ive got my music competition next week . Tks for sharing this video
