Tuesday 8th October 2013
Public lecture hosted by the Innovation and Engagement Unit.
This lectures connects city-regionalism to struggles around the funding of infrastructure inside the competition state.
Drawing on examples from the USA, it examines the variety of city-regional assemblages involved in delivering urban economic development and the collective provision of infrastructure.
It argues that city-regionalism is a particular expression of the contingent ‘geopolitics of capitalism’.
