There will be two types of videos, theory videos and then also a tutorial using the theory we learned in a previous video. If you have any questions leave them below or use the hashtag #becolorsmart to ask questions or share our colorful looks! I’ll be checking that hashtag on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook regularly.

Make sure to subscribe so you see the videos as the come out or if you’re joining later you can check out my Color Theory Playlist on YouTube or my blog http://www.rebeccashoresmua.com/color-theory
I hope you enjoy and you learned a bit more about color.

  1. Loved this! I follow you because of the artist's perspective you bring to beauty/makeup and this was a great example of what I love about channel! Can't wait for the rest of the series

  2. This is an EXCELLENT idea for a series. Anyone working with color can benefit from color theory and I feel that it is very overlooked by many self taught MUA's (obviously not all). I just went to your websites (blog & art) and I am so glad I found your channel. I have a background in "Fine" Arts (mostly multi media drawing and painting) and have been transitioning to make up to have a more viable way to support myself. Anyway, look forward to more of this series and I really like your tutorials, too. I may try the soft liner look with black lipstick later on.

  3. Really excited for this video series! Really unique and am very excited.

Have you done a formal review of your Hakuhodo brushes at all? I have been meaning to make a purchase, but there is so much to think about and research.

  4. This is really helpful! However, I am struggling with the warm/cool red/yellow/blue colors. Maybe I just need to retrain my mind, but when you showed the warm/cool blue examples, my mind automatically labelled them as a warm green-blue and a cool purple-blue. I think I'm going to look up some more warm/cool examples for all the color wheel colors to get better adjusted to the idea.

  5. I enjoyed this so much!! I did not know there were warm toned blues. Have you done the other color theory videos? I looked for them but did not see them.
