Sasha Johnson-Freyd
Cultural betrayal trauma theory proposes that oppression creates the context such that within-group violence in minorities is uniquely harmful. This Ph.D. dance (dissertation and choreography by Jennifer M. Gómez) tells the story of a fictional group of people called the Wigglies, who are hurt by Oppression and endure within-group violence through dance.
