  1. Ironic that my country, U.S.A. , at the brink of social collapse , is being saved from the moral abyss by this brave Canadian , Dr. Peterson. Angels really do exist.

  2. Hearing Dr. Peterson makes me think I need to go back and reread Crowds and Power by Elias Canetti. I haven't been this blown away by a speaker for quite some time.

  3. Regardless of their views, why the fuck would they say anything about saudi arab? Their concern is US, not S Arabia. Sometimes he says stupid shit & idiots pick it up & run along with it.

  4. How is restructuring and revaluing of concepts is as bad as he makes it out to be,
nigga peterson should know his nietzsche ("[Philosophers] must no longer
accept concepts as a gift, nor merely purify and polish them, but first
make and create them") Basically, if you do not reevaluate your concepts you are only exchanging information and that's the opposite of thinking.

How the fuck post-modernists don't use logical thinking? It is philosophy after all. Derrida just shows how political structures can subordinate the logical (nazi germany, scientific racism for example).

Nigga, just because you cant understand so called post-modernist texts it doesnt mean it is inherently gibberish (I do not suspect to understand quantum physics without having studied any modern physics) their writing style is mostly closely related to their ideas. (For example capital logic domesticates and monetizes everything, turns original, unique, profound things into passable, dense writing style is an act of resistance).

Marxism =/= ussr and =/= post-modern philosophy, jesus fuck peterson stop creating straw-mans to project your anxieties into

No, post-modernists do not believe that identity, culture or moral values do not exist, they just try to see on what structural foundation it is built (it is not their fault that ideological pol-correct uses this to their advantage)

Almost everything he says could be legit critique of pol-correct ideological status quo, but when he starts talking about philosophy it's straw mans, no concrete arguments (no, feelings and book about ussr do dont count).

  5. It all started as the counter-enlightenment, with the German philosopher Kant, whose name is pronounced like the female primary sexual organ.

  6. One of the most inspiring parts of this talk, especially about dealing with your suffering and trying to be a better person. Peterson's philosophies helps me think more strongly about life, and it has this tone that is very motivating.

  7. Reactionary conservative, its fascists sharing – not without reason because this fruitcake in his rant misses to mention that capitalist en feudal countries were as well responsible for milions of deathts…

  8. He sure as hell is right about the "feminists". I was blown away when the gang rapes in Cologne happened. The people who inflated rape statistics on college campuses, coined the term "rape culture" marched in the streets suddenly said NOTHING in the face of fucking gangs of rapists.

  9. I respect, perhaps even admire, Dr. Peterson's psychologically informed conservatism where his knowledge and experience bring a differentiated view to the human condition. But while I am hardly a friend of the kind of tenured pseudo-radicals Peterson lays into, who are no more than the court jesters of the contemporary neo-liberal power structure, I find his homogenized view of Marxism sadly deficient – it is really just a smug and extremely lazy caricature no different from that certain leftists entertain of conservatism. I also believe his perception of the alleged power of "politically correct activists" is skewed from his own vanatge point in academia. I wonder whether he has asked himself why "snowflakes" are so susceptible either to politcally correct or new right identiarianism – might it not have something to do with how the prevalent form of neoliberal capitalism in the western world, which is not just an economic ideology, but a force penetrating all aspects of society, which has hollowed out the selves of many individuals living under a regime of constant insecurity and internalized and endless pressure to self-optimize and self-market, producing extreme alienation, systemic depression and narcissism in millions? Doesn't he understand that capitalism is the most radical of acids which in its brutal amoral nakedness of requiring the maximizing of profit and acquisition of property ignores all ties between humans, all norms, all moral values? Doesn't he see that transgenderism (as an ideology) is no more postmodern than it is the logical conclusion to the neoliberal mantra that you can (no, must!) be able and willing to fashion yourself into anything and anyone the market desires? Dr. Peterson should entertain the notion that Marxism in its infinite varieties is still one of the most powerful anlytical toolkits to understand how capitalist societies work – even if one doesn't accept the solutions it proposes. There is a big difference between valuing its analytical prowess and embracing its programmatic – just as one can value Solshenyzin's analysis of the Gulag (as Dr. Peterson evidently does) and not share his antisemitic hypernationalism (which Peterson evidently would not).

  10. This is my first time listening to Dr Peterson. I would suggest also listening to the TED talk 'moral roots of conservatives and liberals'.

  11. 'Postmodernism' is this guy's Satan. He ascribes all negative attributes to 'them'. He is doing basic tribalism. He and his group are RIGHT and GOOD. 'Postmodernists' are EVIL!!! They are demons who want to destroy the world. SMH.

Very disappointing for someone who proports to be an academic.

  12. No no no no no, Mr. Peterson. You are saying Marx's political ideas are directly responsible for Stalin's and other tyrant's' atrocities? Hate Marxism, fine. But help us understand what is wrong with it! Don't imply that things like the Bolshevik 1917 Russian coup and the ascension of a sociopathic dictator are "Marxist experiments" that prove his ideas completely false and evil. Marx himself hated contemporaneous communist movements to the point he said, "If they are communist, I am not." Can't you at least address this, even once? I'm trying to understand all this, and you are not helpful at all. You only obfuscate. Is coherence on your agenda? It seems so disingenuous. I need clarity, not abuse. Please help.

  13. Why does he miss that in the 1960s blacks were still being hosed down. Or when black Wall Street was burned down?

He misconstruct the reasons why civil rights were ever marched for.

    Jordan Peterson. Cut the bs

  14. As much as he hates it and as modist as he is, Peterson is a spokes person for the classical liberlists and conservatives. Brilliant, he speaks in laymans terms but still with deep intellect!

  15. where is the original source of this lecture/talk ? I've seen clips of it everywhere, but I don't know where the original is
