EDIT: So after I made this video I had an excellent tea-time debate with a machine learning specialist in my building. Apparently what I want to call Machine Consciousness is tolerantly termed “General AI” by people working in the field. I still think we should accept my new term as an act of general consciousness raising, a pre-emptive sign of maturity of the general public’s understanding of AI.
