Hello, Gems! In this video, We will be going over how to prepare a 2D VTuber for Live 2D Cubism. This also explains how to cut 2D VTuber layers up so that they will work well in Live 2D Cubism. We will eventually be moving into Prpr Live at the end of this series. This is 1 of a few-part series where I will be walking you through the whole process. This series will help you with how to become a 2D VTuber. It’s a challenging process but working with Photoshop and transitioning into Live 2D is rewarding and worth it. You can use a 2D VTuber while making content on YouTube or for streaming on Twitch.

4:44 I'm assuming that depends on what you want your avatar's resting face to be. So in theory, you could make them smile or have any other expression as long as you're happy with it being the resting expression.

Is it not possible to create art for a character facing left and right and use those too? I want to make a V Tuber which isn't humanoid, so I couldn't be able to squash and stretch parts for when I'm looking left and right 🙁

why merge everything??? thats so much more work
i think after watching 2 times im understanding. to summarize- draw like i normally would and bring them all into 1 layer. next selection/lasso each part and make it it's own group. im guessing this is so live 2d can detect resting spot and then move?

Thank you so much for the tutorial. Though, I would like to ask if I could also do this on Clip Studio Paint. I'm pretty new to all these digital drawing stuff and I don't know anything about Photoshop so… Do you think I'd be able to do all of this on Clip Studio?

Oh.. i see i got into way over my head. I did not realize that i had to basically fill in everything behind hair and such.
