In recent weeks I’ve talked a lot about songwriting, and how using music as a creative outlet has driven my progress more than anything else. In today’s session I’m going to break-down my top 5 tips for beginner lyricist. We’ll discuss common themes, finding inspiration, rhyming schemes, and story development. Let’s get started!

  1. POV:you teacher who can’t come to school tells you(a bunch of idiotic year 9)to write a song and posts this video on Satchel One(hopes none of these year 9s see this post)

  2. So In the second example. A B A B. Does it matter that on the first line in A it says time. As well In the Line B. Understand mistaken an forsaken were the rhymes that were supposed to go together but does that piece make a difference is it call a certain thing. I don’t know some explanation would be helpful an appreciated. Thank tou

  3. What about if you want to write a song about whenever you were given the question if you had one wish to change anything what would you change but your answer would be nothing even if your life is nowhere near perfect and things could be changed you still wouldn't change them

  4. I’m actually planning on making my own lyrics. This was very helpful! Plus, I finally know how to tell the difference between the “A” and “B” parts.

  5. I wrote this and I'm really proud of it

    I don't have a purpose
And no one else deserves to feel unseen
    Breaking free from judgement
Although I'd like it it's just not reality

Nothing to be scared of, nothing to be seen
Still I'm just a person in between

There's really nothing wrong with being me

    Trusting all my instincts
Has never even seemed to go my way
    I just can't avoid them
So I guess I'll have to make it through today

    Nothing makes us special
    Nothing makes us whole
After we've been crying all alone

God I fucking hate my fucking phone

So take me away to where I can't pretend my life is non existent
Where I don't get clingy upset angry, where it's all persistent
But pretty soon I'll just be floored
And pretty soon I'll just be torn
Cause sure I'll be productive but ill also just be fucking bored.
