De Garis has new world order written all over him. He is trying to persuade the kids. Deceptive!
Superintelligence doesn't necessarily require a consciousness to control it. More than likely it will be unconscious because I don't feel consciousness is something like an algorithm and we won't be able to program it into software. If machines become conscious it will be a thing that arises within the machine spontaneously after several generations of self-improving themselves.

Sounds like a Glob-a-snot, not a "Globe-uh" …There's already a word for that: "globalists" (sociopaths who want to control the whole globe). Far better to DECENTRALIZE POWER. That's the basis of all civilization, in fact.
