I think this is a very good talk, they have some excellent points. I am glad that there are experts out there who are considering the risks and trying to solve the challenges brought about by increasingly advanced technology.

quick question, the water in nuclear reactors is pressurized and is unable to evaporate, the water that cools them never comes in contact with the nuclear material. That water may boil off, but the pressurized water won't, it will expand and cause server damage to the cores, but at worst it will cause a complete meltdown of the core, which still is protected by a 1.2-to-2.4-metre (3.9 to 7.9 ft) thick pre-stressed, steel-reinforced, air-tight concrete structure that can withstand hurricane-force winds and severe earthquakes. As the last line of defense against radiation leaks. (btw this what Chernobyl was missing, it had no containment building thats why it caused the radiation cloud.)
Also with the whole nuking each other plot, we do have anti-Ballistic missiles, infact the nuclear war is hardly a threat by ICBM due to their ability to be countered, our threat would be caused by lack of power from EMPs and bomber dropped nuclear weapons which is unlikely due to the fact that many high alert military buildings, are equipped with specially protected electronics against EMP.
