Legged Squad Support System (LS3) is a four-legged robot designed to travel 20 miles on rough terrain carrying 400 lbs of load. The video shows field testing at Twentynine Palms, CA. Testing includes rough-terrain mobility, endurance, visually guided following, GPS guided maneuver, and overall reliability. LS3 is being developed by Boston Dynamics with funding from DARPA and the US Marine Corps. For more information visit our website at www.BostonDynamics.com.

Nice to hear that they scrapped the 2-stroke generator. Pun intended.
We have seen the future…

YEP…. welcome to tatooine!!!0:49
nice
This needs to be used in Puerto Rico right now if not already. Please loan FEMA this.
Oh it's this thing, Big Dog, it's so old. I thought this project was put to rest for being too cumbersome and loud?
You need two more legs, one on each side of the body facing perpendicular to the flank. Only used for stability and precision driving!
Nuclear or eletric power?
The only bad thing about this beautiful peace of technology is that its only purpose is for military use.
Better, less loud and scary than Big Dog.
Fallout is becoming real.
Hey! My old stomping grounds. Yup, looks just as I remember it.
Put it in Atlanta when it snows….that bastard will go nowhere….
소 한마리가 따라가는거 같네
So the Marine Corps is funding it. That can't end badly…

It'd be awesome if you could test your cheetah robot out in the desert. I'd love to see it in the open and off the treadmill.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Why is an overweight cow climbing a desert hill?
Wow, this CGI is so realistic!
So why no saddle on top? Feels like wasted potential here. Ok maybe you wouldn't use a supply carrying robot as a horse… BUT… you could technically strap a wounded person that can't walk on it?
Exclusive death stranding footage.
Softbank owns this company now. Wow this company’s gone through a lot in 5 years. From Google to X then to Softbank.
If I didn’t know any better I’d say it was a screen from Star Wars lol
This would be a GREAT way to have robotic pack mules for desert conditions that would be too harsh for regular mules.
Who would dislike this it makes no sense
Fallout meets Interstellar.

He drinks a coke cola and rover drinks a quart of oil on there break.

I wonder if the company will ever consider making smaller ones for animal lovers?…
Would have been perfect for the Sooners during the Oklahoma land grab.
🐶 good 💪👍🇺🇸💪💪💪💪
Good job .
Cheaper to breed, genetically engineer and then train super donkeys, fit them with biomechanical suits for extra strength and endurance.
Much cheaper.
I remember when Spot was a giant donkey
This LS3 could replace (and save the lives of) living beasts of burden. That's an advance right there. They could also be raced and ridden. The Spot Mini is so agile it could perform equestrian dressage moves. Pretty dang cool.
patrolling the mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter
Esses caras levam "Touro Mecânico" à sério demais.
Metalhead lmao
The idea of a group of soldiers having a robot friend that carries their heavy shit sounds cool also i could see marines trying to joust on these
Imagine if everyone rode robots instead of driving cars
👌
Looks like Arizona isn’t safe any more nor Antarctica…
Time to move in the ocean
