"Mazel Tov!" — #LeonardSweet #PreachTheStory #Semiotics Vlog #42 #NewYear #MazelTov

Leonard Sweet

“Mazel Tov!” is usually translated as “congratulations” or “good luck.” But it quite literally means “good constellation.”

In the constellations of the stars, Jesus is the StarGate to new dimensions of living in the New Year, a divine wormhole to new spheres of wonder, wisdom and worship. On the Starship Ecclesia, you will need to know about Starbursts, Stargazers, Stardust, Starlight, Starfire, Starpower, and StarQuakes. The best constellations are when “the stars had come nearer,” as Isak Dinesen puts it in her classic “Babette’s Feast” (1950). It is hoped that these homiletic semiotics help bring the stars nearer to you and your people this #NewYear, especially that Star of Bethlehem, the Pole Star of life.
