  1. No mention of the Bauhaus movement, not necessarily influenced by Cubism. Also no mention of the fact that due to Picasso not serving in WWI and the resulting hostility of outsiders due to the evil hated "other", the Hun, was also directed toward Picasso's Cubism, and to Pablo himself to some extent…this as much as anything else propelled Picasso into his Neo-Classical phase…in order to pacify public feelings toward him. The host's take on Guernica being not just of the attack on Picasso's homeland, but is actually representative of all war is no original thought of his as he portays it here, but straight out Picasso's mouth. And not a word about Cézanne! This host keeps refering to Picasso as the inventor of modern art. He was not…even Picasso said (after Henri Matisse said it first) Cézanne “is the father of us all".

  2. if you think about it, his so called modern art is kinda traditional in a way, taking from african and ancient art representations.

  3. PICCASO THE GREAT !! how can ugly pictures get this fame? well either im ignorant and dont understand art just like Leo da vinci would be ignorant since he did not found this greatness.. or this ,, this ASS HOLE painter THIS JOKE got sponsored for these paintings to get spread , just like marx with communism by the interested elite ofc as alwyas. for their interest.. huh guess that Leo da vinci did not understand art… yes thats what it must be.. let us be thankful for the joke… i mean for the MIGHT OF PICCASSO and forthe next period of the art in human history that only he could have discovered

  4. So much jealousy in this comment section. The man was a fucking genius. Get over it.. or try to create a brand anywhere near as powerful. Wankers.

  5. Can't get beyond a few minutes of it. Far too hyperactive & concerned with those pathetic questions of a pathetic culture – "How relevant is this to us", etc. We're so wonderful, if it is relevant to our cool, clever lives then it must be great.

  6. Spain suffered centuries of corruption, bad government, coups and civil wars, but gave the world Cervantes, Velazquez, Goya and Picasso…Switzerland, …well, you know the rest…

  7. Picasso was good, credence to this presenter for trying to make this fun and interesting but its also a style of presentation that just rubs off as so vulgar and annoying…

  8. Little new or interesting here but what there is is ruined by the absolutely atrocious and painful-to-listen-to mangling of all the Spanish words, including Pablo Picasso’s two surnames. Ruiz.is not Roo-iz, it’s Roo-eez, you moron. The entire world knows how to pronounce Pablo Picasso’s name, except of course the British, who of course KNOW how to pronounce it properly, they just think it’s more properly British to mangle the pronunciation and say Paaaablo Picaaaasso. Simply inexcusable, offensive and stupid. They also say Gwernica and conqwistador and a hundred other truly criminal bastardizations of Spanish words and place names.

  9. Hey this video is professional program on TV. Thanks god I found this video clip today in Youtube site about Picasso which I am currently craving to watch National Geographic TV series about him and his life during WWII. Got to scoop this video to my WM ………………………Be free for anyone doing in arts………………………STF has been here

  10. actually picasso have process because he steal the painting of the students of academy and so of his father painting too, and put his sign on it. ( to make a great fake art background to introduced his art later)

  11. I don't get the whole art thing you take someone that likes to create say a painting now you have some people that are really good at it and they can make a nice painting then everybody gets tired of that and then we get to the point where we have like modern art if I can do it then why would somebody pay so much money for a red dot on a white field and everyone looks at it and tries to get real deep about what the artist is trying to say he's trying to say I put a red dot on a white field and you dumbasses are putting more into it than I did and someone's going to pay me million dollars for that $0.37 of paint I put on a white field maybe I should be an artist

  12. Andy Warhol is hardly the artist of the magnitude of the other three. He didn't draw or paint he simply colorized screen prints from photos. Get real, Warhol is no titan…..

  13. at 27:00 the documentary lost me. They seem to be saying that the presence of any orthogonal designs is due to Picasso's cubism. Cubism didn't invent cubes or geometric designs. The same technological inovations that inspired the geometrical aspects of cubism affected other artists similarly.

  14. 20 – STOP TRYING TO CHANGE HISTORY TO PUSH YOUR PERVERTED LIEBERAL LEFT FEMINIST IDIOCY.THERE IS NOTHING WRONG IN APPRECIATING A WOMANS BEAUTY – AND CERTAINLY PICASSO IS THE LAST PERSON TO AGREE WITH THE LIES OF 'OBJECTIFYNG WOMEN' S0 CALLED 'STARE RAPE' AND THE ANTI-BEUATY ANTI- HUMAN STANCE OF MODERN FEMINISM. PICASSO LOVED TO JUST ENJOY THE BEAUTY OF WOMEN – AND WAS NOT EVEN WANTING TOMOVE BEYOND THAT IF FACT HE WAS A MYSOGYNIST UNLIKE NORMAL HEALTHY MEN WHO LOVE TO ENJOY WOMENS BEAUTY BUT DONT LOOK DOWN ON THEM..

  15. HE DID NOT DESTROY REPRESENTATIONAL ART – HE GAVE MORE OPTIONS. MODERN ART CRITICA HAVE LEARNED NOTHING AND ARE AS LIMITED IN OUTLOOK AS CRITICS IN THE FIRST DECADE OF THE 20TH CENTURY WHO WERE AS LIMITED IN OUTLOOK..

  16. Picasso was a communist ! Yes a communist. That is precisely why he was more at least 5 times refused the french nationality.

  17. god these people who write about and analyse art sure do babble on about and make up some pretentious crap in fairness lol
