New findings have physicists questioning reality

CBS News

Physicists at CERN are working to determine why the equal amounts of matter and antimatter in the universe haven’t annihilated each other. CBS News science and futurist contributor and theoretical physicist Michio Kaku joins CBSN to discuss this discovery.

  1. What he basically is saying is if the big bang happened due to equal antimatter and matter how come there's an abundance of matter when theoretically both equal amount should cancel each other out as said the big bang only happened because it was the equal amount

  2. If anti matter andmatter cannot make contact with each other, then how could we trap anti matter in anything of this Earth like a "bottle"? In order to be a bottle or any object period said bottle must be comprised of matter.

  3. Michio Kaku is like a modern day Einstein and really great at making super complicated subjects understandable to the common man. If he ever goes on a speaking tour, i’ll be the first in line to see him.

  4. These people need help . Even people who did wel at school could be idiots. We are real just get laid and you know. But this getting in the news makes my d!#k itch.

  5. The answer is God who created everything!! Big Bang? God spoke and everything came into being!! Atoms have electrons and protons. They naturally repel each other yet they are held together? This is God!! God is perfect so why does it surprise you that symmetry exists!!

  6. Maybe it’s because God made the universe and the Big Bang is incorrect
Turn to Jesus today and be saved ✝️✝️✝️
    Jesus is coming back soon

  7. Why are we here? That's not the question. How are we here? That is the question. Science can potentially reason out the how but why is outside the scope of science. Why implies a purpose or reason for our or anythings existence. There's no reason to assume there is a why.

  8. Why do we assume there should have been equal quantities of matter/antimatter at the explosion of the big bang? Why do we assume time began at the big bang? Are we even sure sure the big bang is happened? I know it is currently the most popular hypothesis but is it conclusive? Are we assuming everything in our observable universe is everything in the entire universe? It seems to me that everything we know about the universe is from observing a tiny spot within it with our limited technologies. I'm no scientist but I wouldn't assume we could understand the ocean by learning all we could from a drop of salt water. What if the big bang is an explosion sending all we can observe out from a single point in every direction, but what if that explosion is was like a stone hitting a pond and our observable universe is just a wedge of that expanding ripple. Outside that ripple things could be still or rapidly expanding in another direction from some other explosion. We don't know what we don't know.

  9. It's laughable listening to scientist try to understand God's universe. Our intelligence compares to an insect when it comes to God's devine creativity.

  10. I wouldn’t worry about to much about this cause at the end of the day the Big Bang is only a theory no one actually knows for a fact how or why we are here !

  11. We exist, because there was instant separation, did not allow the touch. How is was separate, still the mystery. Why we exist, is not a mystery. Mystery is how was that superfast separation possible.

  12. Mortals, born of woman, are of few days and full of trouble.
    They spring up like flowers and wither away;

like fleeting shadows, they do not endure.

  13. We exist in the chemical changes that cells replicate. As they push through sending, and receiving of waves that ripple through the body, we are gathering local information for sharing with the rest of concious beings. We can control other people's bodies with the same muscles in our brain giving a clear vision to move their airm, or a finger. Why can't we see each other's visualizations? It will help those with out a voice.

  14. The big bang created God and God created us. A lot of religions say God said I was nothing and then I was something. Dont that sound like the big bang? Omg I got so much to say. They don't want you to know a lot of things. Its deep. They will never let you know the truth. There is so much people that don't really know and these evil people want it that way so they make you blinded with media and other distractions. No matter what at the end of the day I don't have hate on my heart and I believe

  15. The reason people have hard time with this subject matter is because we are living in a very ignorant society, we need to learn and know basic science, educational system has truly failed
