6. what a disappointing TED talk. he has no idea what he's talking about. he thinks he does, but he doesn't.
   how do i know this? because he claims he knows the solution to this immense problem, despite that there is absolutely nothing near a consensus among experts, not to mention most agree we don't have a solution yet.

7. I don't like the way they call it 'artificial' intelligence. They are clearly using naturally occurring human minds throughout the lifecycle of the emergent intelligence, you may as well call a corporation or a think tank an 'artificial intelligence'. Just because you're using technology doesn't make your creation artificial. In fact, you haven't created any intelligence, just harnessed intelligence that already exists. Better call it: Augmented Intelligence or Amplified Intelligence, at least then you get to keep the initials.

10. When robots decide to address problematic humans, they will probably choose the lowest branch to hang their creators just out of pure compassion and empathy.

11. very beautiful but is it safe for humanity to this because humans are way more complicated than animals, humans have bad intentions some times but animals don't have that because they are very basic and driven by basic needs.

14. Why can't people see the difference between thinking/intelligence and consciousness. This entire talk ignores the elephant in the room. Consciousness is not the same as thinking. It is not what we consider intelligence. As long as scientists continue to ignore this central question of consciousness, they will never understand what is going on. Some scientists understand this. Most of those never make it on a TED stage because TED only reinforces "establishment" science and not cutting edge, visionary understanding. We need to break free of these constraints and think outside the box of traditional science.

15. This is an obvious statement. and, I am inspired by his approach!

    I'm positive he avoided discussing the challenges of us working together, to remind us that we can do this. Thinking that something or someone is preventing this way of life, is the psychological impact we suffer. But, throughout a 24 hour period, I can change my way of Thinking, depending on the responses I receive as I toss out random thoughts or rants.

    People look at you with disgust when you get emotionally involved in a rant, suggesting you are irradical or crazy! But, you are not. you are above their intelligence and know that you get more knowledge and more responses when you put your emotion into it. That's the inspiration of a Hive mind, fighting to survive in this world, and reconnect with all.

The thing is, if we all plug in and reach a level of wisdom aspired to here, a lot of people's minds will have to be blown, and realise things they practice ignoring, before mental lubrication and smooth functioning with out extreme resistance will occur. I guess that's what waking up is about except a lot of people are going to struggle with what they see about life and themselves and everyone around them and want to close their eyes or take exit left bc they simply cannot stand it or don't know what to do about what they see has been going on, most of all, in themselves. I think this hive mind has been operating for a while, not in the future but now. I'd like someone to talk about how people whose entire belief systems have to come crashing down or unwind, before they can be part of that swarm or get left out in the cold. Perhaps some will proudly say they want to be left out, left alone, but I don't think anyone wants to get that feeling of dying bc they are not adapting, of being left behind. Perhaps they do. Perhaps they will.

22. I'd say this comment section sort of functions like a hive mind. Because it gathers the best input that individual can think of and shares them with everyone who is interested in the subject. The only thing it doesnt do yet is applied the best input into decision making.

24. if the case is not that everyone realizes any individual is the same as the other, super intelligence is unable to be created among human beings. Presently, selfish seems like to be irremovable from human mind, leading to more impossibility to achieve the greater intelligence of human.

    The worst things and ideas are PRIMARALY and often presented "much smarter", "much beautiful"…at first and they end up being the WORST you can imagine.
    Depossessing myself and projecting into a specific animal/tree : SLAVERY/MENTAL HEALTH.
    Arrogance : the next big evolutionary step might hit us…".
    Conditioning, emptiness of speech and profoundness. IT got nothing left but destruction.
    So this one is HIVE , the other CYBORG, then ENHANCED human…Too many models same result.

33. I heard a similar narrative from the renowned professor Michio Kaku, a pioneer in string field theory. He also described its benefits and pitfalls. His vision of Issac Asimov's laws of robotics and beyond was eye opening!

36. I believe the idea of swarm is related to the true value based on normal distribution in statistics. It's also called collective wisdom from Asian culture.
