Self-help gurus who exploit the ignorance of their followers by combining the words "consciousness" and "quantum" in every conceivable way base their arguments on a flawed interpretation of quantum physics.
Quantum physics states that the outcome of an experiment depends on the experimental setup. This does not imply the existence of a conscious observer; a simple light sensor (the physical layer of your web cam) is sufficient.
For consciousness to be involved, it would therefore be necessary to assume that a web cam itself possesses consciousness.
It would then be necessary to assume that a vacuum cleaner or a dishwasher also possesses consciousness. To speak of "quantum consciousness" is as absurd as speaking of "dishwasher spirituality."
