The objective aspect of your being is sustained but not as it was when invested in your constrained but sentient mind, but as a near infinitely small fraction of the mind of all. 'You' as in, any subjective awareness of your own self is removed from the 'now' of existence and it's being only existing in the records of the mind of all. There is a sense of you that is aware of a reality beyond the physical plane but not all experience it and not all of it is a desirable experience. As it culminates in the deletion of aspects of the own self from consciousness that have been deemed unworthy of reintegration into subjective consciousness ever again and would only serve to contaminate the mind of all with its invalid and illogical form. The sense of one's own self contains this element of the self and therefore it is an element of the own self which experiences its anhiliation. And this is 'death' is FAR worse than the mortal death as that the veil has been lifted and the reality and consequence of what is to happen is known through and through, and there is no chance of anything else coming to be as everything which can be validly done, has been done. And the action of this anhiliation is far worse than the concept of pain describes, the anhiliatiion of the apsects of spirit from the mental plane and absolute reality is a process of unbinding the diametrically linked forces which give the spirit it's ability and capacity to be something on the mind of god, and to possibly become something other once again. It's like vapourizing tumours cancer cells with a laser. And allowing the healthy cells to move into and occupy the remaining void created by the cavity of where the cell once was.
The 'pain' of anhiliation at this level is deeper than the mere pain signal our brain receives from receptors in our skin. It is a sensation that is experienced at every infinitely small point of one's being and is of such a magnitude that it cannot be ignored and the only possible response is to rage and wrath against it with all there is to resist it with, which is a knowingly pointless and hopeless response but one which is just as involuntary as the reality of eternal anhiliation itself. The dissolution of the awareness has a final moment before oblivion that seems to stretch into eternity as the experience is perceptibly drawing ever closer but as awareness fades into obscurity and then oblivion, the lucidity of it deminishes but never quite ceases. Oblivion arrives without ever perceiving it and the final perception is one of a barely awareness to the reality of an unknowingly long and seemingly eternal fading towards black, but where the relief of the end is never experienced.
It is the same as the aspects of the self which endured a seemingly eternal period of being fractionally aware of its own self forming and coming into being. The moment the Brian is formed and activity of the starting process ignites the region of the mind in which your sentient awareness is manifest and is the viewing portal into the physical plane of reality, it is aware to some degree of both it's internal being and it's external reality. A consciousness of unknowing complexity and capacity reduced to that of an ant for what appears to it to be an eternity. This is mostly why we don't remember what our purpose is/was. And that's the whole point, to remove this understanding from the conscious mind, allowing it to serve its purpose authentically.
That gestation period to the consciousness of the new being is what we would conceive as several lifetimes of staring into a void and observing form slowly take shape, not even the mental capacity to question it and barely enough to wonder about it. It is not a torturous or negative experience at all as we know nothing more at this point, only that there is. We don't even distinguish between our inner mind and the outer reality yet, the mind is still of the capacity of that of a non sentient life form, like a shellfish.
We have all been through this and at some level we all remember it. As is known in those moments we return our awareness to its rightful owner and fade back into the abstract void from which we came.
