The cultural right is dedicated to objecting whenever there is a depiction of sexuality or bodily excretion. The cultural left used to be dedicated to meeting that objection with a raised middle finger.
It's now dedicated to making the world a safe space for kids. The right is dedicated to making the world a safe space for billionaires. The result is a generation with unforgivable debt before they've even started earning and childish demands for safety where none should exist.
Pinker is wrong about the non-inclusion of 'fucking' in 'fucking brilliant'. The function is adverbial, as Pink states, but it can be argued that the form is adjectival. In fact, to be really pedantic, it is a present participle which functions as an adjective and, like all adjectives, as an adverb when preceding another adjective. So it is illegal, not in respect to its function, but in respect to its form.

I'm not offended with profanity but as years go by it kind of sounds more stupid. I realized that most times it's just a substitute for a lazy vocabulary. It takes more effort to find the best adjective than saying fucking every other word. I try to avoid it as much as I fucking can.
